Description:The Financial Regulation team of this London Law Firm plays a key part in the Corporate Division's wider plans for strong growth in the financial services sector. As such, this role offers opportunities to play a significant role in business development activities. The Role includes: keeping know how up to date (understanding of UK consumer credit/insurance regulation and practice and ability to identify the appropriate area/file to place information in); Assisting in the setting up and maintenance of an intranet site for regulation know how; Pro-actively monitoring a number of legal sources and liaising with information officers to seek out information on new developments; Retaining bank of pitches and proposals and an ability to create first drafts of such documents; Proof reading agreements and documents for sense, typos and some legal compliance requirements (attention to detail critical); Running data rooms, involving meeting external clients and third arties and dealing with their queries; Scheduling and indexing; Putting bibles/bundles together; Conducting legal research and general paralegal assistanceThere are excellent prospects for progression within this role and within the firm as a whole.
