General Functions:

Assist with substantive matters handled by the Office of the General Counsel (?OGC?) relating principally to domestic and international commercial licensing matters, channel relationship and intellectual property.

Job Duties (include but are not limited to):

Assist in domestic and international commercial licensing matters;
Assist attorneys in developing licensing agreements with customers;
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating various types of contracts, including license agreements for software and other content, use terms, marketing agreements, non-disclosure agreements and vendor agreements, under the direction of one or more attorneys and in coordination with business group contacts;
Advise business contacts on compliance with Microstrategy legal policies and procedures;
Assist in formulation and deployment of process-related improvements related to the provision of legal services;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Outstanding organizational, analytical and drafting skills, with attention to detail;
Ability to prioritize workflow and adjust to workload fluctuations;
Ability to work independently, as well as in team situations;
Ability to communicate effectively across a large number of diverse internal groups;
Handle transactional matters;
Maintain/create filing systems and other information management techniques for legal matters;
Review/proof documents generally.

Requirements of the position:

B.A. of B.S. (or equivalent)
At least 2 years solid experience at law firm or in-house strongly preferred, but will consider fast learning, energetic candidates with less experience;
Self-starter who desires to show ownership and commitment to the job.
