The Midtown Group is a 28-year-old staffing firm with deep relationships in the legal community. Our AM100 law firm client is looking for a Professional Development Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support for the firms legal professional development and advancement programs for Associates, Counsel and other professionals. This candidate will also assist with the firms attorney pre-arrival, on-boarding and orientation processes. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of admin experience within a law firm.
The Professional Development and Advancement Programs the selected candidate will support include the following: Attorney Professional Training, Diversity & Inclusion, Attorney Mentoring, Attorney and Professional Personnel Performance Management, Availability Report, the Personnel Evaluation Process, Personnel Compensation and Bonus Management and Personnel Advancement (Tier, Counsel and Partner advancement).
Responsibilities:
1. Assist with processing and monitoring check requests, invoices, and reimbursements.
2. Manage meeting, event and professional training program logistics by scheduling meetings, reserving conference rooms, creating announcements/invitations, managing catering orders, copying and distributing materials, creating and maintaining files.
3. Process CLE applications and distribute certificates of attendance to internal and external clients.
4. Assist with filing annual CLE Accredited Provider reports.
5. Assist with annual attorney, counsel and professional personnel evaluation process and associate early feedback program.
6. Monitor and track Mentor Program meetings, feedback and related activities.
7. Track Associate Individual Development Programs in viDesktop.
8. Create and update Excel spreadsheets and tracking sheets, reports, surveys, PowerPoint presentations, policies, and other materials.
9. Assist with updating viDesktop processes, including Eval, Utilize, People, Configuration, Mentor and others, as added
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree preferred.
-2 years of professional work experience preferably in a law firm.
-Able to organize workload, prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with good keyboarding/typing skills.
-Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service and organizational skills.
-Positive and professional demeanor and able to interact effectively with personnel at all levels, including attorneys, staff, and clients.
