Guerrero Law is a boutique firm specializing in Business Law, Real Estate, Estate Planning and Probate. We provide legal advice, counsel, and services to clients throughout all of Florida. We are searching for an experienced paralegal/legal assistant to join our firm.

About Us
I am building a firm that is very family oriented, and I want a close-knit staff that works well together and pitch in to help each other when needed. Our firm will not have a high stress environment. I believe in work/life balance and overtime will be extremely rare. I want you to leave the office at night knowing that your day is done. I dont want you checking emails in your off time but encourage you to spend time with family and friends.
Our hours are 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday with lunch from 12 1.
Our ideal candidate for this position has 3+ years of experience, with excellent attention to detail. Your communication skills in English and Spanish, verbal and written are exceptional, and you work well independently as well as part of a team. You are also friendly and professional and make people feel comfortable and valued.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Summarizing cases and preparing reports for attorneys
Conducting research, investigating facts and developing legal arguments
Drafting legal documents such as contracts, estate plans, corporate documents, operating agreements, and real estate closings
Preparing and filing documents with courts (e-file with state and federal courts)
Organizing and archiving the documents related to completed and ongoing cases
Keeping track of changes in legal framework and providing timely updates on these changes
Bilingual skills are required (English and Spanish)
This is an In-Office position
Experience & Requirements
Minimum 3 years experience in a general practice (business law, real estate, etc.)
Experience or willing to learn Estate Planning, Wills, Trusts and Probate to eventually oversee this area of the practice
BS/BA degree or Associates degree with legal assistant/paralegal certification preferred
Exceptional bi-lingual communication skills (both verbal and written) and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel Outlook (or similar email system) and internet searches
Experience with legal database/client management software is required
Possesses a strong work ethic
Self-motivated and goal-oriented
Open-minded to new systems or skill sets
Salary is commensurate with experience.
